Nike Cortez Sneakers >> link hereΒ

So excited for these shoes! I first saw them on Bella Hadid in some magazine shoot that was published and she looked so cool- very 70s retro. Then I was looking everywhere for them here in Tel Aviv but they were nowhere to be found. The Cortez sneaker is a vintage style from years ago and they don’t always carry all the colors. I knew I wanted only the red and blue version that I saw in the magazine. So my boyfriend and I flew to Berlin and I ended up finding them there on the last day at the huge Nike store in the city center- best part? They were 15% off so I only paid 68 euros for them! So amazing. Anyway, hope you like how I styled these shoes and you will be seeing a lot more of them on my Instagram feed all summer long πŸ™‚ xx Karen

Bershka Look

Karen Or, Israeli fashion blogger from Street Chic Tel Aviv, wears a total look from bershka #bershkastyle

I was invited last week to the opening of a new Bershka store at the local mall here in Tel Aviv called Azrieli. I picked up a few items from the new collection that I loved. The store itself was empty because it was actually the day before the opening so everything was laid out for us to see and there were so many fun trends that I wanted to try. The slip-on shoe trend is a big one so I got these silver ruffled slides that are so cute. I’ve worn them almost everyday this week πŸ™‚ Then I’ve been seeing the hair band/scarf trend everywhere and I wanted to try it so I got this super cute blue and white headband that has kind of a nautical feel to it. The embroidered shorts were a gem I got after I found the matching cropped sweatshirt with the graphic print logo- which we’ve also been seeing everywhere. So basically, this entire outfit is all the trends lumped together but I think it works pretty well together, don’t you? See you guys next time and stay tuned for another fashion DIY video coming soon xx Karen

Last weekend my boyfriend and I flew to visit his sister who lives in Berlin. I’ve never been to Berlin before, let alone Germany, so I was very excited to go. We only planned to be there for 3 days and 3 nights because we didn’t have too much time, my boyfriend had to be back at work/school, but we definitely made the most of it. On the first day we visited the center of the city (although there are many centers because Berlin is a huge city) but we decided to go by the memorials, statues and make our way to Fredrichstrasse (I’m not sure if I’m spelling it right I’m sorry!) That is the main street where there are a lot of stores and restaurants. I discovered the store “And Other Stories” which is HM’s sister company also related to COS πŸ™‚ I must say I loved their clothes especially the new swimsuits but the price points were really high – almost like those of COS and I was sure it was going to be cheaper. After that we took the subway to Alexanderplatz which is another shopping center and the home of Primark! Never been to Primark before and I’ve heard so many things about it from other bloggers and people who visit Europe. I have to say, we went there on a Saturday so it was completely packed with people and I didn’t love it so much. Everything there looked pretty cheap- stuff you can find at Target and TJ Maxx in the states although I guess their prices are really low so it is a good deal. Pascal, my boyfriend, ended up doing most of the shopping- I just bought a pair of nerdy glasses for 3 euros πŸ™‚

On the second day, it was a Sunday, so we decided to visit the famous Mauerpark- definitely the highlight of my trip! Mauerpark is like the flea market of Berlin, but it also feels a bit like a festival because there are many amazing food trucks and performances on the grass by really talented singers/musicians. I absolutely loved the atmosphere, and the shopping there is great, too! So many cool vintage finds. On the last day, we decided to visit the Berlin Wall, but of course it started raining on us. We took the subway there and had to run through the streets in order not to get soaking wet. I was able to get one good photo there as you can see above:) Then we took cover in a local cafe which was so cute! Distrikt Cafe, its called, if you’re ever in Berlin you should definitely visit there. Finally, we made our way to another shopping area where there was a huge Nike store and I ended up finding the shoes I’ve been looking for everywhere – the Cortez sneaker in blue and red, and they were on sale for 68 euros! How cool is that:) All in all, I absolutely loved our trip to Berlin. Although it was pretty short, it was fun to visit Pascal’s sister and we did get a lot into the few days that we were there. Stay tuned for a Youtube video next where I show you all the shopping I did in the states and Berlin:) Until next time, xx Karen

Swimwear Trends – Flounce Bikini, One-Piece and More

A moment before summer arrives and we are all getting ready for bikini season, I wanted to give you guys my take on the hottest trends in swimwear. Some of my favorites are the flounce bikini, mesh bikini, and one-piece which we’ve been seeing everywhere lately. I’ve started searching for new swimwear to update my closet a few months now- as I’m sure most of you have, too! Also, I’m sure many of you came upon the website Zaful which is a really popular place to buy swimwear and they are also really affordable compared to most other places. Because of this, and the fact that they ship internationally I thought it would be nice to pick my favorites from their website.

The first you see is the flounce bikini of course. Flounce meaning an extra layer over the actual bikini and it adds a little frill and a bohemian vibe to it. Number 3 and 4 and both one pieces which are very on-trend this season and also very forgiving for when you are not in your best shape:) Number 5 and 6 have a bit of a mesh detailing which I love and adds a little pop and extra detail to your suit. Also, number 6 has my favorite striped lining which is another detail I love- very 90s. And finally, number 2 is a bralette type of top which is a cut that is also very popular this season- a nice alternative to the traditional triangle bikini. I’ve linked all of swimsuits you see above down below of course and if you have any questions or comments feel free to leave me a message below! Until next time xx Karen

  2. Bralette top bikini
  3. Plunge neck one-piece

Suburbs in Cali

shoes Zara // dress ASTR // hat Shein

I always thought the growing up in Sunnyvale, California that it was such a boring place and so un-stylish. I wished I lived in New York or Europe where the streets are cobblestone and the buildings were tall. But actually it was this visit that I realized that there is a real beauty to the openness and emptiness of the suburbs. Especially after following blogs like Always Judging and Peace Love Shea, I fell in love with the retro, California vibe photos that evoked such coolness. So anyway, I decided I was going to take advantage of what the suburbs had to offer and find some awesome spots to take photos. My first idea was to find an old car which wasn’t hard to do and these photos came out just what I imagined. The outfit matches in a light beige color palatte with the studded ballet flats as a contrast. Hope you love it! More photos from California to come πŸ™‚ xx Karen
